Revenge of the Sith

As a self-admitted Star Wars fanatic, I am a little bummed that I haven't gotten out to see the Sith yet. Course with the kids and work and all its going to take me some time to get out there to see it. So far, by all counts, this is going to be worth the wait. I didn't dislike the last two prequels, but they didn't stick with me like the original trilogy.

For those of you who have been living under a rock, Sith follows Anakin's fall to the Dark side and his masking as Darth Vader (following a mutilating duel with Obiwan). All reviewers point out that this is a 'dark' film. Well, of course is it! This movie takes and turns that innocent slave child/love-struck teenager of Episodes I and II and turns him into the brutal enforcer who ordered the destruction of Alderaan in Episode IV.

What I am looking forward to seeing more than anything though is the last few scenes of the movie which according to some of the reviews I've read, really take you back to the opening of A New Hope. From low budget set recreation (hallway of the Rebel blockade runner featured in the opening minutes of Episode IV) to the parting of the young Skywalker twins (Leia to Bail Organa and Luke to his Aunt and Uncle via Obiwan - one review says the movie ends with Uncle Owen looking out over the Tatooine horizon as the double suns rise). Man, I can't wait!!!
